Nike Retros a Patriotic Hyperdunk in Time for the Olympics

This July, Nike will be retroing a classic silhouette as a thematic addition to its repertoire of Olympic-themed sneakers.

Originally released during Team USA’s basketball run for gold at the Beijing 2008 Olympics, the “United We Rise” Hyperdunk 2008 will be returning for the first time ever. Featuring reflective 3M star graphics on the upper, the upper of the shoe will be predominantly white and navy blue, reflections of the American Flag, with red lining on the navy swoosh to round off the color palette. Some special details include Team USA graphic insoles, and a “United We Rise” tongue tag to give the shoe a truly patriotic feel.

Combined with the return of Lunar Foam and strong Flywire, the “United We Rise” Hyperdunk 2008 retro is sure to boast all of the same technology that made the original an on-court performance monster.
